Submission is free
There is no fee to submit a manuscript. An APC is requested only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication.

These APCs apply across Research Leap journals. The appropriate publication option is confirmed with the author after the manuscript has been accepted.
When is the APC paid?
Payment is not requested when a manuscript is submitted. The editorial team first carries out editorial screening and peer review. If a manuscript is accepted, the author receives instructions about the applicable article processing charge and payment process.
Payment has no influence on editorial screening, peer-review outcomes, reviewer recommendations or the final editorial decision. Editorial decisions are made on the basis of the manuscript’s relevance, quality and compliance with the journal’s requirements.
What does the APC support?
The APC supports the work involved in preparing an accepted article for publication, including editorial coordination, peer-review administration, article processing, production and online open-access availability. It also supports the publication infrastructure used to make research available to readers.
Open-access publishing
Research Leap publishes research on an open-access basis so that published work can be accessed online by researchers, practitioners, students and other readers. Authors should review the relevant journal information before submission, including its aims and scope, author guidelines, publication ethics and licensing information.
